Aims and Scope

The Bangladesh Journal of Public Administration (BJPA) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality original research in the field of public administration and related social sciences. The journal aims to advance knowledge and practice in public administration, public policy, governance, management, leadership, and training, with a strong emphasis on sustainable development and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

BJPA welcomes contributions that address contemporary challenges at local, regional, and global levels. Priority areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Public administration and public policy
  • Governance, leadership, and institutional development
  • Gender and development
  • Planning and management of mega-projects
  • Negotiation and conflict management
  • Fourth Industrial Revolution and emerging technologies
  • Climate change, blue economy, and environmental governance
  • Information technology and digital transformation in the public sector
  • Future trends and strategic foresight

The journal particularly encourages applied research, case studies, impact evaluations, project analyses, and practice-oriented papers that bridge the gap between academic scholarship and practical experience. Contributions that offer innovative solutions, effective strategies, and lessons learned from real-world public sector initiatives are highly valued.

BJPA seeks to foster dialogue between academics, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers, and to contribute to evidence-based policy and administrative reforms both in Bangladesh and internationally.
